Morning all,
MessAffectChat.
Finished ME2 and not a life lost, very proud of my ability to read walkthrough guides.
Started ME3, the start could certainly do with more cutscenes. I had about 5 mins of actual gameplay in the first hour. I spent lots of early credits buying an upgrade for the aquarium so the fish don't die. There's also the hamster to catch.
Also bumped into my old PA in the Citadel, she refused my offer to come back to the Normandy. We know why, seems Shepherd was a bit too hands on which meant ME2 was more a case of #MeToo.

Hello From yesterday … I watched Tomorrow's War. It was alright, kind of a cross between Starship Troopers and Alien. The aliens themselves lacked originality though, but have all the cool aliens been done already? I have not seen these aliens. Were they kind of spidery things? That seems to be the generic alien model these days. A bit spidery. A bit like the demogorgon in ‘Stranger Things’. |

The aliens themselves lacked originality though, but have all the cool aliens been done already? I have not seen these aliens. Were they kind of spidery things? That seems to be the generic alien model these days. A bit spidery. A bit like the demogorgon in ‘Stranger Things’. They were large dog like things and they had a long tentacle which shot darts and had armour plated heads and backs. The mouths looked a bit like the elites from Halo. |

Personally ... I would consider inventing an alien made out of crystals.

The tentacle thing was particularly badly done actually. I can see how they would need to make the aliens more formidable against armed soldiers, but in one-one fights with Pratt it was comical how the alien would occasionally make a token effect to use it (and miss badly) when it should have been an easy kill.
Anyhoo, I had Butter Chicken curry last night, and my god I have just made a no go area of that bathroom. Paint peeling off, the works.
Games: A tiny bit of Skyrim where I stole a ring and then stuck it in someone's pocket. My mods have created quite a few bugs, it is still just about playable.
I am on holiday next week so it's a frantic effort to get work done before I go.

I was wondering if the aliens were going to land soon. It would liven things up. But ... why would they make a big display of it? When people visit chimpanzees they don't make a big announcement to the whole of chimpanzee society. They just drop in occasionally, and do a few experiments.

Oh, you know what isn’t wonderful? A child in my son’s class has had a positive covid test, and so my boy now needs to isolate. Which really FUCKS THINGS UP for my 40th birthday celebrations on Sunday. Yes, it really is all about me.
Waiting for the letter from the school which will state how long said isolation lasts. Praying to whatever deity will listen than it is only five days.

If you get given an isolation notification on the Covid track and trace app you don't have to follow it. You're just advised to (I think this might be different on the NHS app).
To be honest ... I was given a self-isolation message last Sunday, and ... well because I'd been vaccinated twice I ... just stayed in a much as I could and took three tests over the week. But I did go out on the fifth day of the seven day isolation period (having had three negative tests).

On previous family holidays I had brought my Xbox along, but failed to have any opportunities to play it, so I am not even bothering this time. I am taking two cheery books to read, The Road to Wigan Pier and Scanner Darkly. |
