I had forgotten about Sangria. How could I? What a good idea. Many thanks to Tuffer's PM for reminding me.
My PM always claimed that the fuse for hangovers simply blows up around age 50 and then you no longer get them. It's been a while* since I've been hungover, so either this happens early on for some people or I've become more moderate in my consumption of alcoholic beverages.
My Why?Fi has been flakier than a 99 for a while and started playing up again last night just in time for my weekly Sunday games stream. Promise is that it'll be fully fixed this afternoon. At least the engineer's jobs are more stable than my broadband.
So I had to watch large parts of the stream on my phone. For a live stream the game was quite unusual, namely Murder by Numbers, a very witty visual novel mixed with picross puzzles. It was developed by Mediatonic before they made Fall Guys. I love picross and have played both the (free) Pokémon Picross game on the 3DS as well as the Zelda Twilight Princess Picross that was available as a reward with Nintendo a while back. There's apparently a lot of them on mobile which I wouldn't know because I don't play mobile games.
The stream was coming to an end and the internet was momentarily fixed when I suddenly remembered that I still had to edit an Ocado delivery later today. Delivery slots are once more few and far between as people are once more panic buying, I guess. Anyways, managed to get through the checkout with less than a minute to spare. Phew!

Not enough time ... Moping around now I have finished The Expanse for the second time, stuff I have listened to or watched whilst eating, doing chores etc... I'm halfway through Jolt; by the deities La Beckinsale has never looked better, but Laverne Cox is stunning (yes,I know and I don't give a damn; the trailer contains spoilers... 4* Finished free Audible (31st July ends) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, although I slept through some of it, but I have read, watched (interesting divergence between some actors' appearances and character descriptions) and listened before ... I tried Picard again, but without the revelation shocks it feels off. In my yoof I read a lot of teenage boy wish-fulfilment fantasy stuff. (I suspect I am still the only person here that liked John Carter of Mars.) So it's not surprising that I watched Princess of Mars, a clunky old B movie to be found with other old clunkers on Sci-Fi Central, of which the vast majority are, unsurprisingly, free. "Welcome to Sci-Fi Central. Here we'll be hosting Science Fiction based Movies and Series along with Documentary Content for Ancient Aliens, UFO and Paranormal fans. I heroically walked down* the hill to pick up the Pref.Mam. Yoga stuff so they don't have to cart it around while they're going to visit the parents.
I feel I deserve a reward either a kebab or a trip to the pub.

Beckinsale kicking the shit out of people is always worth watching, only reason to watch the Underworld films.

And I have also been following the Olympics - is it only me that gets annoyed by the overhype and especially "Great Britain has won the gold"... no it hasn't, the group or individual has won it .. As for the idiotic commentator who screamed that Peaty is a cross between Poseidon and Neptune... FFS they're the same god! Or did he think that Peaty is Graeco-Roman?

Back when I was on the inside, we used to brew from fruit in black bin liners. It's not the best, but it does the job.

As the judge put it: "Shenguin, you have pleaded guilty to the charges brought by this court, and it is now my duty to pass sentence. You are an habitual criminal, who accepts arrest as an occupational hazard, and presumably accepts imprisonment in the same casual manner. We therefore feel constrained to commit you to the maximum term allowed for these offences; you will go to prison for five years."
No, wait a moment, that was Fletcher, not me. I've never been to prison.

Be interested to know if there's any reference to Poseidon swimming quickly, or swimmimg much at all.
Expect it's just him on a chariot. Is jet-skiing an event?

So the cunts from IT were booked in this morning to setup some PC's. I've now done it as it slipped their radar. They're very busy but now I don't have time to go to another building across town and fix something else. Pah.
Hello. Games. Wee bit of racing in GTA including some mild abuse of an American. He thought my use of the word retort was a misspelled/typo for retard.
TV. Ted Lasso.

Beckinsale has never looked better, but Laverne Cox is stunning 4*
John Carter of MarsI have never read the book but I have the DVD of John Carter which I actually liked, it's a shame they didn't make a second one. I'm hoping Jolt is as good as the trailer as I have all Underworld movies, we shall see.

(I suspect I am still the only person here that liked John Carter of Mars.) [/i][/quote] I'd have read them. And all his Tarzan books. Russell Thorndike Dr Syn was a favourite. Read all of Agatha Christie when young and have started reading them all again last week on Scribd. Just starting Murder on the links.
