No fight, please. I would be happy to take the gold medal for the dumbest comment even if it's only because the competition got disqualified. I've trained hard for the last 5 years but I'm still nowhere near the podium. It would mean so much to me.

( Chumbles - I hope you don't mind but I'm going to talk about you in the third person, for a moment.) I was surprised when Chumbles kicked off at me last week because I thought I'd made a fairly obvious (if unfunny) jest. It was as though Chumbles has burst out of a door on a corridor, to my right, and had surprised me with a punch to the side of the head. I think maybe, today, a part of me thought that if I consciously got Chumbles to react badly to something I'd said again then ... it wouldn't be a surprise. When Chumbles burst out of the door, I'd be standing there looking at the door, fully prepared for a punch in the kisser. |
