There are some really good value wines around at the moment. Yesterday I paid £4.99 at my local petrol station for a 5 litre tub of vin bleu.

Morning.
I made a lovely roast chicken yesterday and two batches of Madras sauce for the freezer.
I played some Mario Kart 8 and PUBG. It's Glasgow next weekend, I expect Guns N' Roses will break up before then.

I feel under qualified to talk much about wine, all the chat seems a bit grown up to me. But I'll nail my colours to the mast for this stuff: Alain Grignon old vine Carignan at Majestic It's 8.99 a bouteille, 6.99 if you buy 6 (or as part of a mixed 6) Its the best red wine I've ever tasted under a tenner, and it easily goes toe to toe with many more expensive bottles I've bought I buy 6 every time I'm near Majestic It just tastes 'ripe' - a genuine mouthful of English summer fruits, gently tannic. It's lush. A good breakfast wine (though better when it's been open a couple of hours) The best endorsement for it from my father in law who is a wine bore, gets his gear from a 'wine dealer' rather than Morrisons. Spends multiple thousands a year on expensive piss, but this is his daily driver |

Lunch was an Olympic size fruit salad, a full pineapple, some persimmons from the organic box and a shit load of other stuff that was going brown at the back of the fridge, covered in tajin clasico fruit salt. Delicious, though my stomach is now gurgling like a fucked drain

I was never really a drinker of wine (not allowed anymore, 'cos of the booze police). But when I did, it was always a Pouilly-Fuisse.

The man does have the most pungent urine I've ever smelled - I know this because he has a permanent urinary catheter, which he knocked the drain valve cap from at my daughters birthday barbecue last year (whilst pissed) . Covered the patio in an orange miasma that stank of a bleachy fish market, whilst 15 kids were queuing for hot dogs |
