Does anyone know much about heroin addiction in the 1980s?
It sounds like there was a big boom at the start of the decade. I read somewhere that this was down to the Iranian revolution in 1979. But I'm not sure why that would be.
This book I'm reading describes people in Liverpool at the start of the boom, smoking it in pubs, having a nice time. Apparently not many people really knew what the dangers were.
It's mad.
