Indoor temp now crept up to 23c. At this rate I might have to take my socks off.

It's too hot. I've had 2 cold showers already. Bad news chat? I was asked by the PM what I wanted for lunch. I said Tuna/mayo sandwich please. I was served a tuna/mayo WRAP. I'm Will Smith angry right now. I assume Kane is having a full carvery with all the trimmings to go with his boiling hot coffee. I haven't decided yet I might keep it simple tonight, just a shop bought Korma.

Here, it’s 26.5 degrees indoors.
I may go and sit in the car and work. Precondition it for 20 mins to get it down to 21.

Cheese and tomato sandwich. SnV Walkers.
Some fool (me) may have thought ahead and put the butter in the fridge to stop it melting, however this has resulted it in being even harder than the cheddar.
While tempted to warm it up by holding it under an armpit for 10 minutes, i did the decent thing and shaved it with a potato peeler. You heard.
Made milk-ice-cubes for the dogs, as the old one in particular is wheezing through the heat. Does a fine job in keeping them cool, although might result in gyppy guts later. Oh well.

I'm off to the gym. Will probably get a hot coffee on my way back Has any one yet disproved the theory that hot drinks lower the core body temp and cold drinks raise the core body temp. Still stands as far as I know.

I’m kicking back with a steaming hot mug of tea.
You can’t show weakness with the weather.

Proof?
*checks it's 2022*
What the fuck do we need proof for?

Time spent looking for proof could be better used attacking those who disagree with you

It's cooler inside here. Outside is apparently 29 but feels like 30. Don't have anything inside that tells me the temperature.

Hot out I'm off to the gym. Will probably get a hot coffee on my way back Has any one yet disproved the theory that hot drinks lower the core body temp and cold drinks raise the core body temp. Still stands as far as I know. The reasoning I've seen for this was that hot drinks make you hotter so you sweat more which cools you down. I think its nonsense. Thermodynamically it makes no sense.

Its 37 C here in the shade. There is very little shade outside.
I am considering going to the Co-Op for an ice lollipop* of some sort. However I am not sure I can cope if they have sold out. I am acutely aware that if I step outside I will be lowering the average ambient temperature.
It is sweaty in the office. windows open, blinds shut fans on. The fan is pushing very warm air around. It is not great. But better than still air.
* I ate the final fruit pastille one from last week about an hour ago .It was ten times nicer today I need more now

Do the same people who claim tea is more cooling drink icy water in winter to warm up? Once they start doing that I will consider the hot drink to cool you down theory not to be utter bollocks with no further reason to investigate. A drink at 70 C obviously contains more heat energy than the same drink at 5 C. If you like hot drinks that is fine.

With a hot drink your body has to cool to get down to it's normal temp. Cold drinks mean it has to raise its temp to get to normal working temp.

Countries like Jamaica or India would have a steaming hot curry. We have a salad which is obviously the wrong thing to do, unless it's a side dish to a steaming hot curry.

Back from the gym. I got a sweat on, which according to the hot drinks brigade should have cooled me right down. Surprisingly enough it didn't.
