I'm having a go on that Battlefield 2042. I have no idea what's going on. Also downloaded Divinity 2. Looking forward to not having a clue what's going on in that later. Games chat! Divinity 2 is great, you need Lohse and Fane in your party, best characters. |

I’ve noticed local news websites using US dates now. “March 12”, that sort of thing. I am the first to complain, and regularly too. I don't mind March 12th, but it's when you get an ad for a film and it says "in cinemas March twelve" really makes my piss boil |

I went to a friend’s house last night. I was drinking bottles of alcoholically rich Belgian beer, and my friend was drinking 2 percent ‘table beer’. But then he had this cannabis vapouriser which heated dried cannabis content to the edge of being burnt. It was unusual to use, and did have an effect. I’m not sure I was that into it.
On the train on the way back a man who looked like Babyface Finlayson got on. I think he may have been an ex-boxer with alcohol issues. He was friendly but massively drunk. There were two bearded German men next to me and he started talking to them. One of the things he said was ‘We beat you in the World Cup though. 1966.’
‘Yes. You did beat us in 1966.’
‘And a war. Two world wars.’
‘Yes. You did beat us in two world wars.’
I’m not sure what he said then. There was a bit of misunderstanding, then one of the German men said ‘I have always detested racism in all of its forms.’ The boxer then said ‘Me too brother’ and held out of his fist for a fist bump. The men got off after that ...
This exchange filled all of my consciousness for about ten minutes.

A 3 hour walk in the snow has left me well cream crackered and no mistake Mr 'olmes.
It was fun seeing idiots driving cars like maniacs into berks because they think their car is immune to the effects of snow and ice.
OOTTM, last night I watched Venom. Not bad. 4*.

The link is to the Extended edition, which costs a tenner; but the standard version is currently free. Ye ghods, you forget how impossibly beautiful Cate Blanchett is as Galadriel... It was Liv Tyler for me. Around that time the BBC had a Liv Tyler season. Stealing Beauty, Empire Records. My first Girlfriend looked a bit like her. |

Had a Balti for the first time. You've probably never heard of it. From M&S, so bound to be authentic. Butter chicken for the child, pakora, naan, rice etc.
More BF2042 later and some TV. Opened up the claymores this afternoon. Love a good sneaky claymore kill.
The child is playing Roblox with her wee pal who moved to Seattle. And also facetiming.
