So you're going to leave your hip flask at home that week? I work from home. I've not thought this through

Suede were good, 50/50 early/new stuff, a much better ratio would have been 90/10. Seems like they aren't playing anything at all from The Blue Hour? That would have annoyed me.

Making Turkey Lasagna for dinner. The Ragu is on bubbling away.
Really should have made the sauce yesterday but there wasn't enough room in the fridge.
Some more BF2042 or TLOU2 later.
Hoping the Apple Store get in touch this week about the replacement TV box as it's a pain in the arse using the PS5 for streaming stuff compared to it.

lazybones They do the 3020i in walnut as well apparently. So forget the 3010's Sheep may have a better suggestion. I own a 15 year-old pair of Monitor Bronze speakers. Q Acoustics have a good reputation. Monitoor/ Mission/ Wharfdale are all solid choices. £300 standmounts will give you a pretty good sound. If you want massive bass you need floorstanders. If you have neighbours not so much. You can spend a lot more. I have priced up a home cinema set up with a trinnov processor so I can have 32 speakers. I think i'd like artcoustic in wall speakers, but. the processor and amps on display. The effect would be magnificent. I just need a lottery win.

A black piece of asphalt walks into a bar and slams his fist down on the bar loudly proclaiming, "I demand a free drink because I'm the toughest motherfucker in here!" The barman, not wanting any trouble, hands the piece of asphalt a beer.
About 20 minutes pass when another piece of asphalt walks in. This one is green with some white painted circles and lines visible on it. He also slams his fist down on the bar proclaiming even more loudly, "I DEMAND A FREE DRINK BECAUSE I'M THE TOUGHEST MOTHERFUCKER IN HERE!" The barman, expecting trouble from the 2 pieces of asphalt moves quickly to get between them but the first one has now disappeared. So he serves the new one a drink because he doesn't want any trouble.
Shortly afterwards the barman goes to the back to grab a bottle of something he ran out of. He sees the original piece of asphalt hiding back there shaking because he's so terrified. The barman asks, "what's this all about?" The black asphalt quickly answers, "I'm a tough motherfucker but that guys a fucking cycle path!"

Nothing from A New Morning, Bloodsports, Night Thoughts or The Blue Hour on Friday. Also Brett introduced This Time as being a B-side from Saturday Night then they played a different song. Misread the setlist. I'm hoping for a slightly different set on 21st.

Never been to the Balti Lodge? Or Streetly Balti.? This is a truthnuke I was not ready for. I haven’t. Is the Balti Lodge a true balti house? I’ve been to restaurants where you could get get a ‘vegetable balti’ or a ‘lamb balti’, but they have also been on the menu with a whole range of other dishes. I might have also been to a restaurant that had ‘balti’ in the name … My understanding was that a balti house was a very small venue, bring your own drinks, with a very small menu and naan bread used as tablecloth. Also that ‘balti’ meant ‘bucket’, so maybe the food wasn’t as delicious as at, say, a premium tandoori house with carpets and sitar music. There aren't many small places left I think. The really cheap places that just did balti and naans have mostly gone. There might one or two still in Sparkhill. They have tarted up a bit, serve a full range of curries and tried to appeal to more than just boozed up groups and locals. You still get balti on every menu in Brum. Not quite so much elsewhere. It's pretty common, but not the default choice elsewhere.

My Turkey lasagne was tremendous. There's a portion for the pm/my lunch tomorrow and a family portion of ragu to freeze.
The child is watching 'Jessie' a terrible kids show on Disney. It made me think of the terrible record Jessie by (yes I had to Google) Joshua Kadison which is now stuck in my head.
Apparently his first official appearance made for many years was on June 7, 2020, in a YouTube video he posted as a tribute to Black Lives Matter.
Hmm.

I just watched Sir David's new nature programme, 'Wild Isles'.
Lovely stuff. Britain has the best nature. I've always said it.
I've requested my free poster. Yay!
