You went to Barcelona and went to a spoons? There's a spoons in Barcelona? Am I being thick? I've not had coffee.
I'm reminded of the guy from my youth who went interrailing and visited McDonalds in every European city they visited.

The first time I went to Japan, there was on older couple from Doncaster who were very proud of the fact that whenever they were abroad, they went to McDonalds and Starbucks. Never did so at home.
It has forever clouded my view of those from Doncaster.
Morning all.
Some more Mad Max last night, and then I put that aside and read some TNG Season 8. It is a very good book, the author is clearly a massive fan.

Mornin'
Last night I watched the Battlefield V reveal. It sounded OK and the trailer was lovely but I'm still not 100% on whether I'll pick it up. I've not been enjoying FPS games so much of late so my powder remains dry. That, obviously, might change. I also watched a rather good, seriously, documentary on the history of linoleum manufacture in Kirkcaldy after being tipped off by my Dad. I only really watched it as I was born in Kirkcaldy and it was the nearest big town to where I grew up so it was nostalgic for me. It can be found on iPlayer, The Town That Floored The World , if anyone is interested.
I dipped into The Division for a wee bit but I never really got into it so swapped over to a bit of NHL 18. My career player scored his first regular season goal for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Which was nice.

There's a jackfrags video about bfV that goes into some detail about the new gameplay. Sounds interesting. Making you really require squad/team interaction to win. You don't respawn with full health and to get more ammo/health you have to interact not just wander over a health pack/ammo crate. Anyway. Morning! No Division last night. Helped a pal on GTA and then watched some Bosch. Last day till Tuesday.

Hi I started the BF1 campaign. Don't usually play games like this (never played a COD). It's pretty intense stuff all round. In the intro I lasted about 2 mins before dying. The game told me i was only 18. Now in a tank. The Scottish tank captain is very good at keeping calm when I've fucked up. Like a driving instructor I guess with a new learner. Also downloaded Titanfall 2. Gripping stuff. Cricket is back today so things looking up.

Yeah that intro with mayhem going on around you is good. I read at the time you weren't supposed to last more than that. Futility of war blah blah. I got stuck on a bit getting spare parts for the tank you'll come to later. Should go back to it.
My only gripe with the MP is the number of snipers. They should limit that class per team.

It's finally BDT and I have a BBQ later.
I'm going to drink all the beer and then play God of War.

The first time I went to Japan, there was on older couple from Doncaster who were very proud of the fact that whenever they were abroad, they went to McDonalds and Starbucks. Never did so at home. It has forever clouded my view of those from Doncaster. I’ve got family from Doncaster. Its basically Mordor, if you can imagine Mordor with a lot of teenagers copping off in the back of badly modified ford escorts. At one time it was the clap capital of Europe, I believe. Hello! It’s my birthday. Well, technically and chronologically, because I’m an international playboy jet setter, albeit with family from Doncaster, it was my birthday yesterday and I’ve only got 2.5 hours of birthday left. From a strictly Gregorian perspective its nominally my birthday today. BDT. No games.

I would ask about the calendar technicalities and jet-setting intrigue, but I'm not interested.

BDT birthdays are the best birthdays.
Meanwhile I've also read the ProBoards GDPR message. No need to do anything, that's right up my street.
TV: still working my way through The final season of Mad Men. Now Don has a flat without furniture, although it wasn't clear whether he's still got a bed. Roger with last minute facial hair. This show really confuses my prosopagnostic other half. He was never able to recognise Megan unless she spoke French. "Is that Megan?" - "No, it's another random woman Don just hopped into bed with." Or "Who's that?" - "It's Megan..." (and so on, every evening).
Games: mooching around the College's library and having my first lesson. I like it. I like it a lot. I better send Lydia home, I've parked her somewhere in the College and I don't want her to tag along.

Everyone has a dig at Mordor but its employment rate puts the UK to shame.
100% of Orcs are employed, the higher ups are all black.
Meritocracy, if you can kill your boss you get his job.

I'm not going to respond to Lone Wolf, as I'm worried it might make me a racist. However, I would like to question the gender-fairness of Mordor's recruitment programmes and procedures. Shelob appears to be paid with sufficient live prey, so hopefully the gender pay gap isn't too great, but the the number of women as a proportion of the workforce appears to pose a significant strategic challenge to the regime improving equality.
