Morning all. Anyone want a couple of expensive lenses? The company I hired them from neglected to pick them up yesterday, so I guess they don't want them...
Spent all evening going through my airshow shots. All keyworded, and now ~75% flagged the ones worth a look. It's a slow process, but I'll have some shots up by the end of the week. Hopefully.
Have you all crawled into the gutter for the elements to spirit you away now that the Wurld Kup is over?

Hello.
First full day of Center Parcs. Sun is shining after last nights rain. Off to the pool this morning and I'll be teaching my 6yr old how to lose at table tennis this afternoon - channeling my inner Brian Glover from Kes.
TV. one episode of S3 of Parcs & Rec to go. Ron on the swivel desk was magnificent.
Games. Borderlands the pre-sequal on the tablet. Slightly stuttery at points but good fun. The tablet ran out of juice so I hope it's saved where I was.
Parenting. The child singing along word perfectly to "shout out to my ex" is both amusing & worrying in equal parts.

Morning all!
It turns out that my prediction of almost completing Final Fantasy X was completely wrong and I spent pretty much all of my time in a cave last night fighting Dark Flan's and weird purple Yeti looking things.
This is helpful because I'm wanting to get Yuna to learn Bio and get a few more spells for Lulu, but I'm still unhappy.

A big project I was working on has been put on hold at the last moment just as it was all about to get into full swing. I am sure it's all fine.
It's actually a bit cooler up north now, I still slept badly though.
Watched Tau on Netflix, bloody awful film. No games.

I too got a shock about where I was in a game too. The Last guardian. I picked it up over the weekend and have been playing for hours, and thought I’d heard somewhere about how short it was.
Decided to look at a walkthrough- I’m on stage 2 of 14.
Lovely.

Fortnite
I am merely mostly poor now rather than actively bad.
I managed to be the designated survivor of a 50 v 50 squad. And get in a kill while the lone survivor. Anyone spectating my last 2 minutes would have got a totally unrealistic idea of my leet skillz.
Mostly I was last because I was hanging round at the back encouraging the bullies. At 34 v 27 I had to heal a bit and on return it rapidly degenerated to 21 v 2. At that point I really did run away and hid on a ventilation duct. I shot one unsuspecting fool, but got injured by his mate. I managed to hide again and healed.
Circled round to discover there had been some unapproved building work and the entire Bolivian army was there.
In total over 2 sessions I think I got 5 kills and some assists. More deaths obviously.

I remember when it launched there were lots of complaints about the camera and frame rate issues. I can’t say I’ve really noticed. I think what really got me to pick it up was the VR demo, and actually playing the full game, I could see how it could work. And Trico is so lovely! I spend all my time petting him. |

I had a great 50 v 50 game the other day where I disguised myself as a bush and plonked down on the ground in the middle of the endgame chaos. I got 3 or 4 knockouts when everyone was looking in the forts. Idiots. I’m not convinced that I’m a fortnite person. On the plus side, I think I might have stopped playing elite and I’ve done the data delete on Nier. This means I now need something else that isn’t souls so I don’t have to go into the mindflayer looking place. I see brexit is going swimmingly. Heaven knows what would be going on now if we hadn’t taken back control. |

50 v 50 is where all the terrible players go. Man up and hit solo. I had a massive fort built up the other day and felt safe and in the distance I could see one of those new carts hurtling towards me at speed. The guy leaped out the cart whilst I struggled to shoot him and built a ramp up to my tower and killed me in an instant. That is how you play Fortnite - dying hopelessly to far better players.

Morning all, Gym, bit of mad Max last night- no Fortnite for me because I'm not a small child. The former looks and sounds so much like Drake it's a bit weird. I really like that they matched it so closely to the game, the shooty bit pretty much filmed as if you are playing it. Hopefully this gets picked up and turned into a full length, rather than the rumoured, sure to be terrible, prequel with Tom Holland. 4*s |

I’ve played multiple game modes in fortnite and have concluded that they’re all strictly for children and the mentally feeble. I honest can’t figure out why I can’t click with it.

More OctoTrav last night, what else, progress slow but steady. Cyrus has now acquired a subskill that means that the random encounters are a bit less frequent. It certainly helps. There's a chest that I've got no idea how to reach.
I want Tressa's talent in real life and be able to find a bunch of money that "some unfortunate soul has left behind".
TV: maybe inspired by her encounter with Trump, we are currently watching "The Crown" about Mr Enemy's friend Lizzie. I have a theory that the blue outfit she wore when she met the orange Putin poodle was her way of sending a subtle message, as it was undeniably the exact shade of blue that represents the Democratic party in the US. After all, she couldn't go on the demonstration like Shenguin and Destry, who were, as the Daily Mail assures us, part of a left-wing rent-a-crowd. Has Corbyn paid you yet?
