I don't know which is more exciting, the Customs Bill debate or the cricket. I'm following both with mild interest.

Do kids these days really even care about Star Wars?

Literally playing chicken with chicken.
Still, it was properly chilled and heated until piping hot. Plus the magma-like sauce probably killed anything left on the surface.
I'm off into Brighton to see a Spitfire documentary.

Customs Bill: A (meaningless) last minute government concession (later reneged on) leading to a Tory pro-EU climbdown and a narrow Tory win*. *Farron and Cable miss the vote as they were playing table football in the Common's rec room and (quote) " didn't hear" the division bell.

I used to work in Victoria and occasionally drank in St Stephen's Tavern, which had a division bell in it, scared the life out of me first time I heard it

How the hell are mps allowed to get away with not voting on *any* decision in parliament? What's the point of electing the fuckers if they might just decide to not bother?

How the hell are chatterboxers allowed to get away with not working on *any* task in their workplace? What's the point of hiring the fuckers if they might just decide to post shit all day? FTFY. Pot have you met kettle?

Talking of hiring incompetent layabouts.
I've got a phone interview this week, anyone got any tips? I've only ever had one before which I didn't get a face to face from.
I read you should look in a mirror and smile while you're talking to seem confident and calm, but can't help but feel looking at a gormless twat whilst lying about how productive I am might make things worse.

To all you Star Wars/Lego nerds out there LEGO 75212 Star Wars Kessel Run Millennium Falcon is down to £89:99 in the Amazon Prime day sale... For ages 9-14, I see. This Amazon Prime day thing is very tempting, but instead of buying fun stuff like computer monitors or Lego I've opted for the bare necessities*: a kettle to replace the one that's been leaking onto my kitchen counter for months and a new toaster to replace the one that has one half not functioning. * only kidding. I got Southpark: The Fractured But Whole for a tenner off.

The pro-European Tories talk the talk, but when it comes down to it they fold like a cheap suit.

Print off any info you may find useful, job description, cv, notes, answers etc so they are all close by for quick reference. Also, don't wear any clothes. I have a 50% success rate with phone interviews, so one of these tips is probably useful

Another tip - if you're asked something you can't answer, say it's a bad line and ask them to repeat it, while you type the question into Google

My only Amazon prime day purchase was a 5 port gigabit switch for 8 quid. PS4 and my Nvidia shield TV box going in it and then into a power over mains thing. My Freesat box might get plugged in as well. Need to see.

Purina for breakfast and a tray of Lily’s Kitchen for dinner.
