This in a Guardian editorial
An acquittal does not mean, as parts of the public appear to believe, that a complainant in a rape case has lied; research has suggested the number of possibly or probably false complaints stands at around 3%. It simply means the accused has not been proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt and thus is innocent in the eyes of the law
So basically you may have been found not guilty but you are still a rapist. Bit of a dangerous idea that being found innocent doesnt mean people have to treat you as being innocent.
The whole reason rape cases have low confictions is sex is something that can be consensual, unlike say being murdered. So jurors have to decide wether it could have been consensual (DNA in a murder case means yep they did it, in a rape case its well yeah they did it, but was it consensual).
No real witnesses at times so you are basically going on victim, accused testimony.
Anyway they didnt have comments open, thought Id get your opinion on if my thinking is correct or not.
Morning by the way.

Rain and wind how I've missed you*
Didn't do much last night. Got home about 8. Chatted, ate a pizza, shoved on GTA to see what the new sales/bonuses were. Got caught up in crew sales and went to bed.
This morning I have to train a modern apprentice on our systems. I have not set anything up as I should so there will be some winging it. I wonder if millennials bring an avacado for teacher instead of an apple? 4 hrs of it. Poor girl.
*I've not.

Signed affirmative consent forms are the way to go to avoid rape confusion. You could include a form in a pack of condoms. There you go, Babyfark solves another crisis for mankind.

So, today we've found out that Wolfy has been acquitted of rape.
Morning,
Last night wasn't massively productive but I did manage to get 7 miles under my belt in my penultimate training run. It got awkward when I met another runner soon after leaving the house and ran at pretty much the same speed for a mile and half. Is there etiquette for such situations?
I've started watching GLOW. I didn't think I'd enjoy it, but it's decent.
Tea was sweet potatoes with tuna sweetcorn mayonnaise.

Did a laugh snort snort. Couldnt help it.

Good morning campers.
I've looked at the web whiteboard and I didn't like it, not one little bit (apart from the Bink stuff).

Non-productive boasting, right there. What happened after a mile and half? Punch to the balls?

Wolfy has already ruined my morning.
It's wet and windy and trains can't cope. Being crushed into four carriages is hilarious.
I played more Pillars of Eternity and I still have no idea what I'm doing.

Wolfy, having had friends (in separate incidents) on both sides of the question, if there's insufficient evidence (or indeed no complaint made to the police at all) I wouldn't automatically assume that the complainant is lying, and it would give me pause for thought about the accused party.
It's kind of obvious that if trials come down to a question of different accounts of consent, then the majority of times proving beyond reasonable doubt is not going to be possible. The corollary of that is not that complainants are lying.
I'm not sure what treating someone as if they're innocent means. Are you saying that I should ignore any accusations about illegal sexually predatory behaviour and act as if everything is fine right up until the point when they're convicted, and then totally disown the person?

Hi. Games? No, obvs.
Yoga: this is not getting any easier and when holding the extended stretches I am finding it difficult not to break wind, which i have been socially programmed to consider very tricky socially when you are the only man in the room.
Bake Off. The right people went, but who will win? Rahul looks like the stick on favourite, but the early favourite always gets overtaken near the end. On that basis, a fiver on Kim-joy.

I played more Pillars of Eternity and I still have no idea what I'm doing. 4 carriages? Just how fat are you? Games! Barely. Running! First one since May. Fucking awful. Only about a mile and a half, all of which was ruined by some weird stalker. Happily my legs commited suicide at about the 3km mark and took me with them. Sweet release. Other things that matter. Nah.

Morning!
Hell of a conversation starter for a Wednesday morning there Wolfy. Tricky subject, no doubt. Having no experience with either side of the 'debate', thankfully, I wouldn't like to wade in on it.
Anyway, lighter subjects, ganes! I played two, well, one properly. Sleeping Dogs! Bribed my way into a park to have a date with Emma Stone, caused massive damage to Hong Kong ruining a street race, took over a bus route (wtf?!) and stole some watches from a crime lord. Quite enjoying it. Also tried having a blast on WoW but just couldn't muster the energy to do anything worthwhile.
TV wise we watched the latest Better Call Saul, 'twas good.

What are you all running from? Bit weird.
Hello all. A surprise working from home day, as the boy has another cough. I blame the germ-mixing-bowl that is nursery.
Didn't watch Bake Off as forgot it was on. And the All4 app is, how do I put this? fucking shite. Did watch some more Chef and My Fridge, mind.
No games. I couldn't bring myself to deal with more botchling. So instead I watched a RLM Best of the Worst on ninja films.
