At last found a decent radar map of Dennis' approach - all of these storms are following a path of the gulf stream which separates the Arctic air mass from the warmer Gulf Stream flow... They track along a WSW path until the airstream is driven up to the NW by the persistent Scandinavian High Pressure system... On its downward revolution it draws down cold air from the Arctic, sucking up moisture from from the warmer sea creating an increasing amount of retained water and energy in the atmosphere, which it retains until it's either over a colder land mass... (If the land mass is mountainous then the air is made colder and the precipitation greater). Or it hits even colder air and releases its, err, load... The North of England and Scotland have both triggers. I think those Amber warnings will turn Red in places ...

We've another windy, wet weekend. What!
Hello. TV. Succession. Games. No, too tired. Early-ish night and a good sleep? Yes!
Marmite isn't something I have very often, but I just had it on buttered toasted crumpets. Oozing through the holes into the plate. Marvellous.

Morning all!
TVblog - Picard, and episode four has turned a corner thankfully. I also watched the fourth episode of The Boys. Whenever I finish an episode of The Boys, I wonder why I'm not watching another episode of The Boys. Top stuff.
Gamesblog - built a fancy dormitory in the pyramid to get everyone off their straw beds that were on the sand. It is well posh. I then started preparing the underground station for another line, this time to the lush, green settlement in the north. Oh, and the first stage of the castle is complete. Though the builders haven't seen fit to put any flooring in.
OTTM - BTF. My head this morning tells me that while the combination of red wine followed by port was tasty, the volume may have been excessive. 4*

Hello. Games chat: I started Control last night. It wasn't quite what I was expecting but it's good. Bit scary though, ken what I mean likes.
Telly: Picard 3 and 4. It's ok. I like it.
Ottm: having recently kicked the cold I had from Christmas, now I have another hacking cough. Almost certainly coronavirus.

Morning, saw the finale of The Good Place, bloody good, emotional without being too sentimental and still funny, very well done and a fine end to a great series*. 4*
*S3 Was a bit flabby but still had a lot of good things.

Meet Edith the Grey... a Dwarven Dreadnaught. Driven from the Mines of Murkia, she learned to craft with the Secret Fire and at the Trial of Strength overcame Bolo the Silent by immolating his beard after a savage kick to his groin that sent the Theign screaming as he fled into the deep mines. It is rumoured that he still haunts the darkness unable to retrace his steps...
Empress Edith (affectionately called Thanetta behind her back) has yet to find a mate; no male dwarf can match her in the design of devices like the Flaminous Tank, or the Snicker-Snacker Glaive. Her Eyeshields? For when she works with the Secret Fire...
*I loved running a dungeon... at its best D&D is a collective writing of fantasy where the DM provides the background and start and the dungeoneers use and fuse their imaginations to try different gambits to swing the party in the direction they want to go.

Ganes: got bored with the difficult bits of DLC in DS2 and wasn't really in the mood for it as the coronavirus's grip on me brings me ever closer to the end.
Played some Fortnite Duos with Sheep2 instead. It was good. No wins. Some kills. Plenty of incompetence, not entirely ours.
I've decided against going to see Birmingham v Brentford, because I'm a lazy wimp. If the storm didn't kill me, my coronavirus would.
Alcohol: none. No, really. This is how bad it's become.

Good morning!
Valentine's Day dinner: yum.
Drink: yes.
Conversation highlight with Preferred Mammal: explaining the Fulton recovery system in Metal Gear Solid V apropos something.
Games: not much, just enough time to make a very nice Play Room. The only problem with it is that it is just above the toilets and the noises from there are a bit unsettling. Still, a good use for at least one of my many cuddly Spiked Hare toys.
Also put a roof over my residents' dining venue. It's funny how they never complain about the rain drenching them in any part of the building.
Now making more than enough book cases for a decent library. In reality this would have been one of the first things I built.

I hear the Mines of Murkia are lovely this time of year. They are, if you're on top 😉, not so much in the Deep Mines, where Bolo's screams whisper in the Long Galleries ...

Not to worry. Someone knocked me out and stole my whisky last night.

I saw the Scottish cup today. The oldest football trophy in the world, fittingly on display in a shopping centre between a Costa Coffee and a Claire's Accessories. Unfortunately you had to do an alcohol awareness questionnaire before they let you in to see it, so I was forced to lie in front of my children.

I can't pay for my vehicle tax as the MOT runs out a couple of days before the tax. I guess I'll let the MOT expire and have it done about a week late, and then pay the tax late after that which will backdate to the first of the month, so the same problem doesn't occur next year. I have also purchased both home insurance and car insurance today. What have you ever done?
Is Tent Hen playing a video game, or just with teddies and dolls?
