Out of curiosity I tried to book a slot* on Tesco starting from 23:55 to 00:05
All I got was ring of death followed by website down followed by all slots gone.
Somebody is getting through.
I don't believe in conspiracy theories so I assume it is just pot luck.
*For the next day available.

I had the same experience with both Tesco and Morrisons...
For once, I'm glad no-one else is awake. First set of tablets taken - major morning set in about 2 hours ...

This morning I removed a covering from a disused chimney breast, and coaxed a rather startled starling out of a small window, even though it seemed more interested in the larger non-opening window, and then refixed the chimney covering.
What's that, it's only 7.30, and already I've put more effort into the day than it should reasonably require from me?
At least it wasn't a rat. I'd already forewarned the children that if it was a rat then Hated Dog would be employed to remove it, and it might get messy.

I'm awake, where's my super duper fibre? Bran Flakes mate I've checked with Ofcom. They say Bran Flakes will not increase my internet speed and that you are telling me fibs.

Fibre? In your porridge.
So the child is going to continue to wake at 6am despite no-one needing to get up that early in the next two weeks. Fucks sake. Keeping her up later will just mean waking at 6 and being tired/grumpy. Yes, yes, just like her father.
She's out of sorts tbh. She has had one zoom chat with the girl two doors up for over an hour but another mum messaged to get her to zoom with her daughter - a friend - but she doesn't want to do it. Trying to wfh is murder.
Day 3.
{Edit}Damn you Lurkio!

Audiobooks, to take a note from Chumbles.
I’ve been offered another Audible trial from amazon, so I’m in the market for a new audiobook. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Currently i'm near the end of Abandon Ship, about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, and also looking for recommendations for some new ways to spend my credits

Morning All.
Not read/ reading up on last week so hope you're all well or, if not, recovering.
Spent an hour yesterday turning the 'office' into an office (I had to sacrifice a gaming monitor ffs!). Then got told that, despite it being possible to work from home, the company hates us and is making shift workers come in to the office. No one else in though so the Switch found its way into the bag this morning. Small victories and all that.
Ganes! Animal Crossing. It's ok, just not quite the magic of previous titles. WoW, less and less due to discovering Oxygen Not Included. Addicted doesn't even begin to cover my obsession with this game. It's a deceptively in-depth base building/ management game where, as the title suggests, producing oxygen is in with the usual survival needs. 4 (+1) *s.
Driving! Test cancelled one hour prior to taking it. Understandable I suppose, but still a bit annoying. Pretty sure the instructor had more notice too but didn't want to lose the lessons booked prior to it, prick.

So we noticed some Asda slots had come available on a day Mrs C is supposed to be doing a click and collect for her folks. She phoned to let her mum know she could change the click n collect to a delivery. Saving Mrs C from having to go to Asda that day. "Oh I'll take a look." LOOK FUCKING NOW YOU BAM. Christ almighty. We fucking told you to get slots booked but you fucking didn't....
And talking about Asda. Have you heard of aws? They'll ramp up your website capabilities when half the fucking country are teying to buy fusilli.
As I said. Day 3.

Anywho... good morning, citizens. Please, remain indoors.
TVblog - another Night Manager. Watching on Prime, but would rather iPlayer was able to keep older content online so I could watch it there.
Gamesblog - started on my hotel on the first floor of the pyramid. Lots of glass and glow blocks.

The Long Dark is currently on sale on Steam, 60% off.
Assuming anyone can take any more of solo exploration-survival after a global disaster....
Maybe we should look on it as a CBT package?

I had a free Audible download ages ago so got Capital by Thomas Piketty since it's too thick to read. As it's about 48 hours long, it's also too long to listen too. Martin Jarvis does a lovely job on it though.
