Morning all! And what a glorious morning it is. Blue skies, sunshine, frost. Mmm, breath it in! ChumblesI’m still amazed the JWST is actually in space. That thing has been delayed more often thank crankcaller’s trains. And if it does go awry there’s zero chance of a service mission. At least with Hubble, the Shuttle could reach the high-orbit* it was in. JWST will be at L2, much, much, MUCH farther out: almost a million miles, versus the roughly 240,000 miles to the Moon. That’s deep space, and without the benefit of a gravity assist or free return. *Hubble orbits at an average of 340 miles up. |

TVblog: finished both The Witcher last night, and Clarkson’s Farm. I really recommend the latter, a good insight into modern farming.
Also watched about fifteen minutes of a Mary Berry thing on Netflix.

I've signed up for a Spotify account for the first time. I lied about my age on principle, and the algorithm has deduced that I therefore want to listen to all the worst bits of alternative rock from when after alternative rock was over. I guess this is how it feels to be a millennial.
