Rolling You'd no doubt have regarded York as dangerously warm and sunny on the day I was there. The rain was not quite horizontal.

Put your pen down Mary WhitehouseOooo-er missus. The penis, mightier than the sword, or something. *pushes glasses up* Well, etymologically that would be a pencil, not a pen.

I'm going to sleep soon so I checked my mail... and Ceres Games Ashes of the Fallen, which I have been following for a while on Kickstarter is getting there at last, so I'm in to the tune of £60... The artwork is gorgeous. I guess I'm going to have to live a bit longer... btw it's a turn-based combat system TV: Finished the last free episode of The Outpost 4*+ and I am seriosly considering buying Season 2... the plotting (in all senses) is way better than I had expected.

Yay! A Chatterbox birthday to celebrate! It's always nice to be able to be even a small part in making a birthday special, even if it's just wishing someone Happy Birthday online. Happy Birthday to mollivanparp, and many happy returns!

Conqueror of Britain... well, the important bits. He was most likely offed because the charming Agrippina realised that he was going to change the Imperial succession cutting out her darling little boy Nero. As wife picking goes one of history's spectacular fails.
Edit: Astonishingly IMDb manages to bury the fact that the BBC made the 1976 series, which had a stellar cast - Patrick Stewart amongst other luminaries.

Conqueror of Britain... well, the important bits. He visited the island for 16 days, to preside over the capture of Colchester.

TBF I've never been to Colchester. And yes I do know they were here for 400 yrs.
{Edit} Morning folks.
Maybe the Romans should invade again. We already have overpriced coffee. But we'll need to stand drinking it instead.
Mrs C and the Child are off to the strictly tour this afternoon. I need to make a meatloaf for dinner and then gaming hour. I should also get a haircut but that will cut (ha!) into my time.

I asked my coffee guy yesterday why some of the beans were selling for 4 quid per 500g, and others for 50 quid. He assured me it was nothing to do with quality and something to do with commodities markets, which I didn't really understand (either because of his Dundee accent, or because I don't have the basic curiosity or intelligence to care about how the world works). Certainly made my choice easier, though.
Tv and fillums: It part 2 (crap but watchable); Wisting (not bad at all). Also Picard - quite enjoyed it, it's more like the Expanse than some of the Star Treks.

Talking of Dundee. Bridies aside... Where to go for food? We're up there next weekend.
Only place I knew was project pizza which apparently has shut down.

No games.

Rimworld chat.... colony 2 is now 11 strong, and the raids are also scaling up so I'm gonna be looking to beef up security around the place. I no longer have a cow, thanks to an in-noticed timberwolf. On the plus side, check out my new wolf skin jacket!

Ooft, don't really know as I have no social life. There are fancy places ive never been to. Of the less fancy, I've been to the Manchurian, which was pretty good - smashing bat chow mein. Rama Thai also. There are some decent curries on Perth Road. St Andrews Brewing Co and Brew Dog if you like that sort of thing. I like the DCA restaurant/pub. Apparently the one upstairs in the V & A is good. But who are trying to kid here? The 'spoons is on Reform Street.

This is very good. 4* Afternoon, I've sacked off Tekken6 for a bit as I am ace at it. I'm back on the F1. Tuffers had a birthday, a biological one? I'm not swallowing that, his batteries are running down, that's all.
