Greetings, Who's got 71 mini medals in DQB2? Who's finished all the Green Gardens tablet targets? This gal! Who wants to touch... err, maybe later. In other news, a link to this Twitter post got a Guardian Pick out of the comments on Chris Riddell's cartoon
Just here to say that I'm happy to accompany any Chatter in need to any Irish bar. Strictly speaking Crank, Melv, Pyjakson and Rolling can go on their own but what the heck... I'll do it anyway. Mine's a large Irish whiskey.

The child was very excited to be going to the strictly live show this afternoon.
Not so exciting was standing outside the hydro arena in the rain and cold for an hour. Apparently while the staff decided if it could go ahead as there's a leak onto the dancefloor. Cancelled. What a shitshow.

Agreed. Can't think why anyone would want to go see it.

It would appear that England have forgotten how to play Rugby.

Can't think why anyone would want to go see it. Your face? Agreed. You don't understand. I'd *just* started hzd when Mrs C phoned.

Are you sure? Looking at the group WhatsApps and emails I've sent today to IRL friends and work colleagues, I'm not sure they'd agree.

I agree; I've never been a fan of his 'win ugly' style and neither can I applaud what I can only call the licensed thuggery of the crash tackle. But add to that that nauseating nasty git and following England becomes a penance.

So the v&a, boat, etc. The kid is in our room so it will be a quiet one.

I'd also recommend visiting the site of the Tay Bridge disaster. It's a bit disappointing and there isn't much to see, but the rail disaster is far and away the most exciting thing ever to happen in Dundee.

You are recommending that crankcaller swims half a mile into the middle of a Scottish estuary in the middle of winter? Oh... As for the most exciting thing to happen in Dundee, I would imagine that Dundee 2-0 Hearts at the end of the 85/86 season would get a vote from sandybahookie and WeeCooper .

OK, I have this major mental problem, where I can't not watch Doctor Who, no matter how shit it is. I think maybe by live blogging it, I can limit the damage to my mental health. I'm 11 minutes in. So far there have been 3 set up scenes, the Manc bloke in a shop, the descending space ship, and the camping women. They're all quite interesting, in and of themselves. I have no faith whatsoever that they will be made into a coherent whole with a plausible plot. Re the Manc ex-copper. Is he meant to know the astronaut? He gets a weird text, whilst drunk after being sacked from his job in a shop, and he travels to HK on the back of it? And then tries to break down a specific door in an alley? On the strength of a Google Maps marker, without any concern about the accuracy of the marker, or a question of whether it could be the building next door. I guess he knows the astronaut, but still, it's an rash reaction to a text. Re the women camping on the beach in the rain forest. From the shadows when the second one gets up, it's clearly midday or close to midday, whereas the circumstances would suggest it's morning. When it cuts back to this scene, for the conversation with Ryan, which is obviously a few seconds later in the scene, it's clearly much later or earlier in the day from the shadows. I know it's minor, but why make the error? It's a jolt hindering any suspension of disbelief, which is already difficult enough.
