Funny Karnak story.
At night, they put on a "laser light show". Its fucking garbage, dont bother. That's not the funny part. While we were sitting through this boring mess, I couldn't shake the feeling I'd seen it before.
It wasn't until a few months later we happened to be watching The Spy Who Loved Me, and there is a scene in Karnak where Bond is fighting Jaws in the ruins at night, and the EXACT SAME light show is going on in the background.
TSHLM was made in 1977, we went to Egypt on 2008. 31 years apart, they really got their moneys worth out of that one.

It was my personal mobile, which admittedly they already legitimately had. It wasn't The Man handing down instructions either. It was just thoughtless bastards trying to make their problems my problems, which they now have. There is a lot of discussion in my workplace about boundaries and overwork etc, and (would you believe it!) these are exactly the people who would kick up a maelstrom of shit if it had happened the other way round. Games: Apex. Two wins. I was on holiday a few years ago, and being the good Christians* myself and Mrs Zord are we were visiting the local cathedral. During the visit, my phone went off. Dear reader, it was not on silent. My ringtone at the time was Gangnam Style, not the usual musical fare for a mostly silent cathedral. I didnt answer, just flailed in a panicked motion to try and switch it off before I was struck down by the almighty. Twas a colleague, who knew I was on holiday, asking a question he could easily have figured out for himself had he not been a thoughtless inbred quarter wit. I rather gave him a piece of my mind once I was somewhere I could swear loudly and extensively. * not really. We just like visiting historical and cultural sites because we're just SO COOL.

Julia Jacklin is one of my favourite singers, but I personally don't think this is one of her better tracks. Still, its a Christmas jingle.

Today is my Friday. Last day until the 4th of Jan. Its pointless being logged in if I'm honest, all my clients are already on holiday and all of my studies are finished or waiting on data.
Still, if they're going to pay me to occasionally look up from the Switch to see if anyone has emailed me I shan't complain.

You people haven't lived until you've heard Genesis live on multiple sound systems throughout your home at full volume I haven't lived. I'd rather not if thats the only other option

I've never met anyone that was a fan of them, for obvious reasons i.e. their music Maybe you're just too <insert generic insult here> to appreciate their music. My face is a generic insult

To make matters worse they were supported by Dillinger Escape Plan and that was about the third time I'd seen them that year supporting other bands and they're fucking awful. I will not rise to this bait, even though you are clearly incorrect. I've never met anyone that was a fan of them, for obvious reasons i.e. their music

Good Morning Everyone! I hope the shittiness of the day isn't too shitty, for those of you having shitty days, especially Tids and Crank, but also everyone else. The inside of Scubar's brain is surprisingly difficult to understand. Today I have been mostly working, but I also introduced a 12y-o who isn't mine to System of a Down. He liked them. OTTM: I remembered that System of a Down are actually a bit shit. I saw them live after the release of Toxicity. They were shit live. No crowd interaction, no interaction between the band, literally played Toxicity start to finish then fucked off. To make matters worse they were supported by Dillinger Escape Plan and that was about the third time I'd seen them that year supporting other bands and they're fucking awful.

Prime music has again complied my most played songs this year, due to the Pref.Mam. working from home and the delightful trait of when finishing work always playing "Shape of you" by Ed Sheeran the leading song is misleading. Ignoring that aberration the top 10 artists were: 1. Carly Simon 2. The Regrettes 3. Steely Dan 4. Fleetwood Mac 5. David Essex 6. Billy Joel 7. The Moody Blues 8. Carole King 9. Genesis 10. Taylor Swift Considering that only 2 of them are from this century I appear to have regressed to my youth and embraced AOR/Prog to a startling degree. Top work with The Regrettes there. If I may be so bold, if they're up your alley, may I also recommend Skating Polly, She Makes War (now making music as Penfriend) and Julia Jacklin.

Skin on.
And I love driving. Old man Zord raced Formula Ford when I was a young kid and I inherited his love of speed (sadly never got the opportunity to race myself because I grew up shit poor thanks to Conservative policies fucking over Scotland)

Sad news, my long term female PM friend's mother just passed away last night. She was 94 and had dementia, a lovely lady. life sucks. Condolences. Its a shit thing to happen any time, but always seems worse this time of year. Port Out Starboard Home Wotsists After Noon Kures Even Reflux I’ve lived by these rules. Apparently that POSH etymology is a myth. The other one sounds legit tho. Most of those "well known" ones are backronyms. Chav is not "Council House and violent " Ned is not "non-educated delinquent" Its all invented by the *laboured asthmatic breathing* "actually..." *pushes glasses up* saddo crowd. Yes, I understand the irony of me making this statement.

If epic is doing £10 off, is falling Jedi's worth £2? Free game a day there too. I thought Jedis Falling Over was hot garbage myself. The aesthetic is on point, but the game play is repetitive, annoying and dull. 25% of 4 stars.

We won 3 matches of Fortnite tonight. Showing the same domination as Scotland in the drug death stats. Its almost as if policies that decimated the working classes of Scotland and a failure to support re-education and training have had long term negative side effects. Still, its nice that Thatchers grave doubles as the UKs first unisex toilet.

I think chumbles could really pull that look off. Games: Forza, expert level, Bathurst, AMG Mercedes, 26 laps. 2nd place. Harumph. OTTM: Nope. To be fair, Bathurst is a proper drongo of a track. The dipper really should have been called "Shit Your Pants Corner" Hell of a track, but there's always some cunt tries to overtake you going into the Cutting on GT Sport. Oh, you've killed us both? Who saw that coming.

I've got to be on site today, and tomorrow, and Thursday and Friday.
Its ok though, because my fellow sciencers are 100% taking it all seriously hahaha*
I am not on the verge of a panic attack, but in an unrelated note could you pass that brown paper bag please, I feel the need to breathe heavily into it for no reason.
* Morgan Freeman voice: they were not
