I always liked Buzz Aldrin on the Simpsons "2nd comes right after first.." Are you using a DS4 or have you got a wheel etc? Waiting on Mrs Crank to decide our evenings viewing. Have given several options. Looking like spiral at 9. PS4 back on for 20m then. Edit: well done Melvazord. I obviously wrote that before your victory. Just the standard controller, no wheel. Wish I could justify buying one but they're pretty expensive. Thanks...? Melvazord has got a fucking massive telly. I think that's an optical illusion, its a fairly standard telly

Winning from 3rd place, how's that on the boasting scale?

Third place boasting is the worst kind of boasting. Up 8 places boasting is the best kind of boasting

It made the dinosaur they were excavating look pathetic. Even though it was quite the monster itself. Like quoting a Chatterbox comment.

When they become giant, I don't think the term 'insect' or 'arachnid' is taxonomically accurate anyway. Insects and arachnids are size limited by their biology. If their size exceeds what's biologically possible, they become some other monster-type phylum. BEHOLD! Some fucking massive arthropods: White witch moth Atlas Moth Giant weta Hercules beetle You also used to get pre-historic dragonflies that were two feet wide. Monster-Phylum was Kins rap name.

Take one day off work and come back to find out that out of the blue entire dept are looking at redundancy. Its the only job I have ever had. Its gonna be a weird three months. Oh jeez, Wilf sorry to hear that. And you with a litter of 14 to look after too. Hope all goes well for you. I've been here 10 years and I've pretty much got Stockholm syndrome by this point. Mrs Zord was made redundant a few years ago, and she was shit at being unemployed. She went on courses of her own free will and everything. I'd have taken up smoking, day drinking and wearing a dressing gown 24/7, I'd have been great at being unemployed.

I haven't flounced, I'm just incredibly busy and important.
Well, busy anyway.
I also didn't want to overexcite everyone with my motor-racing tales and have Destry be sick on the car ride home again.

I mean that I get nothing but shit for living and working in England from my Scottish "friends" all of whom seem to have jumped hard on the FREEEEEEEDDDDOOOOMMM bandwagon. Its incredibly, incredibly boring. The quote button is a thing. Corby is very Scottish, by which I mean generally run down and filled with depressing people. Edinburgh should be glassed from space and turned into a big car park. Nobody in England or Scotland likes you, and you don't like them. And somehow you think this is to do with countries? Thanks. I really didn't need that today. Bye.

I'm not Scottish enough for Scotland, and I'm too Scottish for England. I'd move to Wales but, well, you know...*waves arm indicating Wales* What do you mean you're not Scottish enough for Scotland you daft racist? Mustard comes from Dijon. I'm afraid I can't get behind that statement. I'm already worried that the Home Office will deport me because I'm not British enough. I'm not Scottish enough for Scotland, and I'm too Scottish for England. I'd move to Wales but, well, you know...*waves arm indicating Wales*

If you went deep on both does that mean you're a super nerd, or are just well past needing a one way coach trip to Clifton? I'm asking for a friend . . . Clifton. Should I bother getting Elite if I enjoyed the X series of games? Its like having a job, but in space

Hi!
Electric Games: None Board Games: A Feast for Odin. A game that has hundreds of components and something like 72 action options you can choose from in a turn. It looks hella confusing, but we had got it down pat by about turn 3. It was actually a really fun game. I won, because of course I did.
Sleep: None Work: ugh

There are several Whatsapp groups, I'm led to believe. I'm part of one, but not the main "cool kids" one. There are also huddles and hangouts. I would like somebody to explain to me who the 'cool' chatterboxers are. Hi! Oh...

They sound like the sort of places predators go to groom children. Children and the feeble minded. Standard. The GT: Sport chat makes me glad I didn't buy it. I know they've now added the old school offline progression stuff but the lure of online would always be there. I may just pick up a 2nd hand copy of driveclub - despite not being able to do up the cars it's ok for a wee race now and again. I don't like Driveclub, all the cars feel like they're a wooden block riding on 4 other wooden blocks. With GTS the cars feel actually nimble (most of them, some are still blocks). Its worth a punt at £25. Trust me.

Good to know that whatever happens, Melv can always pick a career as Formula One commentator. You either have to be very, very boring or very very exciting. I've got one of these down pat. Melvazord, TL;DR means "Too Long; Didn't Read". I think you meant Too Short; More Wanted. Well I didn't want everyone to get too hot under the collar first thing in the morning, so I kept it to novella length.

Authentic Frontier Gibberish
Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to Melvazord for clearly stating what needed to be said. I'm particularly glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day and age. The sheriff is near.

Dear Chatterbox There is a wall of text incoming. It is mainly (entirely) about vroom vrooms. Enter if you dare, or skip to the end, theres a TL;DR.
I decided to give GT Sport one last go, and of course I ended up having two decent races and one amazing one and am thus fully sucked back in.
Race 1, Interlagos, Grp 3. Porsche 911:
I started the qualifying late and after 1 scrappy lap I ended up 18/18. Awful. At the start, 2 of the fellas in front of me decided to just ignore the corner and go flying off the track, that was nice. I had a really good race and after lap 8/10 I was up into 10th and catching 9th place. Going into the back straight, 9th place went really wide and I took the opportunity to go into the inside of turn 4 and try and overtake him, sadly he decided he would rather die than give up a place and rejoined in a ridiculous manner and smashed us both into the barrier. Luckily we recovered quickly enough, and I passed him in pretty much the same place on the next lap.
Qualified: 18th
Finished: 9th
Race 2, Interlagos, Grp 3, Porsche 911:
Better qualy lap the second time round, ending up in 5th place.
A good start saw me up into 4th place coming through the Senna S. A solid first lap brought me up into third by the start of lap 2. Sadly this is where it all went “tits up” as we say in the industry.
Coming through the Senna S for the second time, 4th place decided his car was an inch thick, and put it into the left hand corner of my car. Now corner 3 needs a smooth entry, otherwise the wheels tend to let go, and him pushing at me just span me out and messed up his race as well when he t-boned my dead-stick car. Idiot.
Down into 11th place, I recovered back to 6th over the next 3 laps, but then, through no ones fault but my own, I went to far onto the kerb at turn 9 (Pinheirinho) and instead of just letting it ride through, I spun up the tyres too early and fucked it.
Down into 14th I go.
The rest of the race was fairly uneventful, I recovered back into 9th without anyone being an idiot as I went past them.
Qualified: 5th
Finished: 9th
Race 3.0, Interlagos, FIA Manufacturer Championship,Grp 4, Porsche Cayman:
ABORTED.
Qualified 5th again. The Cayman handles a lot differently than the 911, much more forgiving but you have to nail the corners otherwise you don't get a good speed out of them due to its slower nature. However, as we came round turn 5 on the warm up lap, everyone in front of me (like 8 or 9 cars) barreled off the road into the barrier.
“Bit odd” I thought, then the PS network went down and kicked me, explaining everything.
Bit annoying as this was a championship points race. Makes no difference to me, but it could have really hurt other people’s chances at a good finish as it was the last champ race of the day.
Qualified: 5th
Finish: Technical DNF
Race 3.1, Interlagos, Grp 3, Porsche 911:
Having now 20 laps of actual racing, and probably as many in qualifying laps, I absolutley nailed the tack down, going 2 seconds faster than I had previously. this got me into pole position by 1.1 seconds. Result.
However, my conversion for poles to wins is around 50% so I wasn’t confident.
Going into turn 1, I braked late and turned in down the hill across the kerb perfectly. I caught a brief glimpse of second place alongside me on the right, but he was too far over and I had the perfect line through the Senna S and I accelerated away.
And that was the last I saw of them.
I was between a 1 and 2 seconds a lap faster than anyone else, and I drover an absolutely inch perfect race. By the time I came into the pit at the end of lap 7 I was 13 seconds ahead of the second place man. I maintained this gap until the last lap when, not wanting to balls it up, I took a slow lap round to make sure of it, still ending 10 second ahead.
Not only had I won, breaking my duck, I had also gotten a perfect race (giving a credit and exp bonus) and had also gotten fastest lap.
Qualified: Pole
Finish: 1st
Fastest Lap
Perfect race
Then dear reader it was off to bed. And now I’m here, at work, “working”
TL;DR: I raced good, bad and then great. Then I slept, then I didn’t work.

Our chippy was wanting £1 for a can of the ginger goodness so they can get tae. Don't think it was inflated prices for old stock with the full sugar quota. My local chippy is literally across the road from a corner shop, where the juice is half the price AND YET you still see people buying juice from the chippy. England: what the fuck man?!
