Yesterday was technically the first day I could go back on site after 3 months locked at home for my own safety*
I certainly did not go back on site. I will be worving*** form home until they drag me back kicking and screaming.
Tomorrow we find out if Mrs Zord is going to be made redundant. Fun times. Theres a guy on her team who has not been de-furloughed because he is shit at his job**, so I'm fairly sure she is safe.
I think it's safe to say things are swings and roundabouts right now.

I now realise why I don't cook more often... err... my stick blender's cheapo batteries have rotted so I have to use the big boy (now called The Exploderiser (c) MrTiddles ) later. My stomach is very interested in my creation and my nose is going nuts... so the peptic ulcer has had to be pacified with loadsa milk. Vertigo is damned dangerous when you're cooking so it's taken an hour to get to this stage... I now have to wait while it cools so I can blend it, decant the soup into the blue storage containers etc. so not a quick jobbie Why does it look like this picture was taken by someone who is peering through the window of a house that is not theirs? Oh...OH. |

Seville was my worst driving experience. Genuinely terrifying. The A96 is pretty bad too. Absolute deathtrap. Aye min, but thats because oh ah the teuchter tubes, ken fit like. Didn't drive there, but on the bus in Cairo was the closest I think I've been to automotive death. How many lanes are there?what's the speed limit? How well do you have to maintain your car? Games: Titanfall 2. Played one game, got a 4:1 k:d, then sacked it off because no way I was beating that, I was on fire. Fragged three scrubs in under 5 seconds, I was absolutely on it.
OTTM: Christ exercise is boring. I'd literally rather be doing anything else, like chugging beers or stuffing my gaping maw with pizza. Which is how I got in this mess in the first place I suppose.

Games: Still playing Titanfall 2 multiplayer. I've concluded I'm at best shitly leverage, but it's a fun game so fuck it. 4 stars.
OTTM:now that I'm 40 in an attempt to not turn into a fat, 4 strokes but I won't change anything, miserly old fuck like my grandfather, I've taken to exercise. Lockdown and working from home has also made some of my trousers shrink. Fucking hell it's boring though. How do people do it every day?
Still, it seems to be working. On the fat part, I'm still a miserly old fuck.

Games: cant settle on anything, flipped between Far Cry Primal (stone age man is my spirit animal) and Titanfall 2 multiplayer. I enjoy playing TF, despite the fact I go from one game getting a 3:1 kill ratio and feeling like an absolute beast to the next game getting my neck snapped every 30 seconds by one guy who has been playing it for 3 years solid.
OTTM: I have to go back on site in 2 weeks time. So I've taken that week as holiday, because fuck that noise.
Authentic frontier gibberish: I'm considering if I can convert/kitbash a Stromcast and a Primaris into a Thunder Warrior or whether I should just stick to the 15 projects that are already overwhelming me.

Amigablog: I've installed the PowerPC version of SCUMMVM, and games are now working much more nicely. Tried Sam & Max and also Day of the Tentacle. Now trying to get hold of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. There is an Amiga version, but it slows down to an unplayable crawl in certain sections. So grabbing the PC-version and running it through SCUMMVM seems the better course of action. Now who can argue with that? I think we're all in debt to Amipal for stating what needed to be said. I am particulary glad that these lovely children are here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed the courage little seen in this day and age. |
